Qatar urges restraint in attacks on energy, nuclear sites

Qatar has called on all parties in the conflict to refrain from attacks on energy and nuclear facilities, a spokesperson for the country’s Foreign Ministry said.

According to Al Jazeera, the spokesperson emphasised that attacks affecting Qatar could have catastrophic consequences for bilateral relations.

He added that the state is taking diplomatic measures against Iran, including the expulsion of several diplomats, and stressed that attempts to involve Qatar in military actions are raising tensions. Further escalation, he warned, would result in even greater losses for all parties.

The ministry representative also highlighted that the future of the Strait of Hormuz should be determined collectively by the entire region.
