Rapper Sean Combs’s legal team asserts innocence as new sexual assault cases filed
Lawyers for Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, have issued their first official statement regarding the sexual assault allegations against the rapper and producer, asserting that he did not commit any acts of rape.
Combs’s legal team expressed their confidence in the facts, stating, “Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defences, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman,” Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The allegations come amid ongoing legal battles for Combs, who is facing nearly 20 civil cases alongside federal criminal charges related to sex trafficking. Texas attorney Tony Buzbee has announced plans to file additional lawsuits against Combs and others in the coming weeks.
In a move reflecting his commitment to representing alleged victims, Buzbee filed six new cases today on behalf of approximately 120 individuals claiming misconduct by Combs, including four John Does and two Jane Does.
Among the plaintiffs are a 19-year-old female and a 16-year-old boy, with accusations spanning from 1995 to 2021. These cases have been filed in federal court in New York under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
