German Eurofighters deployed to Poland to bolster NATO’s eastern flank
Five German Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon aircraft have arrived in Poland to strengthen the protection of NATO's eastern flank, Polish officials confirmed.
The fighter jets will operate from the 23rd Tactical Air Base in Mińsk Mazowiecki in the coming weeks, as part of a broader allied effort to reinforce regional air defense in response to heightened security concerns in Eastern Europe, Caliber.Az reports.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz welcomed the deployment, calling it “a practical expression of solidarity and allied cooperation.”
“Together, we ensure the security of our part of Europe,” he wrote on X.
