Recalled German envoy returns to Georgia after consultations
German Ambassador to Georgia Peter Fischer, who had previously been recalled for consultations, has returned to work in Georgia.
“After consultations in Berlin, Germany’s ambassador to Tbilisi has returned to Georgia today. He will continue his active work there with our full support,” Caliber.Az quotes the German Foreign Ministry as saying on X.
Der deutsche Botschafter in #Tiflis ist nach Konsultationen in Berlin heute nach #Georgien zurückgekehrt. Er wird dort mit unserer vollen Unterstützung seine engagierte Arbeit fortsetzen.

Fischer was recalled for consultations on October 19 due to the position of the Georgian side. At the time, the German Foreign Ministry stated that the Georgian leadership was “campaigning against the EU, Germany, and personally against the German ambassador,” which prompted the decision to recall him.
