A rescue dog named Juna, brought to Türkiye by cynologists from Azerbaijan as part of a search and rescue team, helped rescue three people from the rubble of collapsed buildings.
According to Anadolu, fraternal Azerbaijan was the first to send search and rescue teams to Türkiye after the devastating earthquakes on February 6. Azerbaijani rescuers managed to save a total of 53 people from the rubble.
Together with the rescuers, cynologists with 8 dogs were sent to Turkey, thanks to which they were able to determine the place of 15 people, and also to remove 27 bodies from the rubble.
A six-year-old Cocker Spaniel named "Juna" also helped save three people.
“In Kahramanmarash, thanks to Juna, we saved three people. Relatives of the rescued did not know how to thank the animal. She was nicknamed “the hero of Juna,” said the dog's handler Ehtiram Baloglanov.
