Reuters: US attempted to discredit Russian, Chinese vaccines during COVID-19

US military specialists conducted a targeted attack to discredit vaccines from Russia and China during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

At the peak of the pandemic, disinformation about the effectiveness and safety of the Chinese vaccine Sinovac and Russian "Sputnik" was spread through fake accounts in social networks, Caliber.Az reports, citing Reuters.

The task of the US military campaign was to try to undermine the vaccination programme in Russia and block the promotion of Sputnik V in the international arena. In particular, the US pressured the Brazilian authorities to refuse to purchase Sputnik V.
