Romania receives 33 armored vehicles, C-130H Hercules plane from US

This week, 33 American JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) armored vehicles and a C-130H Hercules transport aircraft arrived in Romania.

As TASS reports, citing the website of the country's Defence Ministry.

“The defense minister welcomes the latest delivery of American military equipment. On Thursday, 33 JLTV armored vehicles arrived in the country for special operations forces. Today, November 10, the second C-130H Hercules aircraft arrived at the 90th Otopeni Air Base,” the statement said.

The first C-130H Hercules, donated by the United States, entered service with the Romanian Air Force in September.

The Defence Ministry also emphasized plans to purchase American tanks.

“The Defence Ministry welcomes the notification of the US Congress on the sale to Romania of 54 Abrams M1A2 battle tanks in the SEPv3 version, 12 modifications of the tank chassis, ammunition and training simulators,” the message notes.
