Romania reveals €38 million in monthly financial aid to Ukraine

Romania provides Ukraine with approximately €38 million in financial assistance each month, according to figures disclosed by acting Defence Minister Radu Miruță.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan had previously said that data on aid provided to Ukraine would not be declassified, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Miruță clarified that Romania's assistance includes not only financial support but also weapons, although information on military supplies will remain confidential.

He added that Romania's economic problems stem not from its assistance to Ukraine but from the fact that "for the past 36 years, too many people have squandered and stolen public money."

"Regarding the money, the figures are public," Miruță wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the Ministry of Finance officially responded to a request from the Alliance for the Union of Romanians party, but the response received little attention.

“It amounts to less than €2 per month for every Romanian," he stressed.

With Romania's population standing at around 19 million, the monthly financial assistance totals roughly €38 million.
