Romania to host drills of several NATO countries' "Black Scorpions"
About 600 servicemen from Poland, Portugal, Romania, the USA, and France with about 70 units of military equipment will take part on November 21-25 in joint exercises "Black Scorpions" (Black Scorpions 22.8) on the territory of Romanian National Centre for Combined Arms Training Getica in Cincu (Brasov county).
The Romanian Defence Ministry announced this on November 18, TASS reports.
"The objectives of the exercise include joint training of military personnel and, accordingly, increasing the cohesion of the participating structures through the field and tactical exercises with live firing," the report said.
Convoys with personnel and equipment will move on November 20 and 26 by roads and through the areas of deployment of the units participating in the exercise to the training ground, the ministry warned.
