Rubio congratulates Pashinyan, says US ready to work with Armenia
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of the ruling party in the country’s parliamentary elections, stressing that Washington is prepared to cooperate with Yerevan to promote peace, stability and prosperity.
“Congratulations to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his party’s reelection. The United States stands with Prime Minister Pashinyan and Armenia in the pursuit of peace, and we are committed to advancing the goals of the historic Washington Peace Summit,” Rubio wrote on X.

He added that the United States is prepared to work with Armenia “to deliver peace, stability, and prosperity to the South Caucasus and beyond.”
Pashinyan’s ruling Civil Contract party won the parliamentary elections to Armenia’s National Assembly held on June 7, securing approximately 49.8% of the vote.
