Rubio: Iran deal talks ongoing, final text may take days
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that negotiations over the wording of a potential agreement with Iran are still ongoing and may take several more days to conclude.
Speaking to reporters in Jaipur during an official visit to India, Rubio indicated that discussions are currently focused on finalising the specific language of the initial document.
“I think there's a lot of talking back and forth going on about specific language in the initial document,” Rubio said.
He added that US President Donald Trump remains committed to reaching an agreement, but emphasised that the outcome will depend on the quality of the deal.
"The president expressed his desire to make it," Rubio noted. "He's either going to make a good deal or no deal."
