Rubio reaffirms US commitment to dialogue on Ukraine conflict

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told G7 foreign ministers that Washington is ready to continue negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

According to a written statement from Deputy State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott, Rubio met with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Caliber.Az reports.

“The Secretary reiterated the United States’ commitment to promoting stability in Venezuela and negotiating an end to the Russia-Ukraine war,” he emphasised.

Pigott noted that the US secretary of state discussed with G7 representatives current challenges, including ongoing conflicts that threaten peace and stability in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region and the Western Hemisphere.

“Secretary Rubio and his counterparts reaffirmed the importance of strengthening G7 cooperation to address global threats to international peace and security,” the statement read.
