Russia addresses discrimination against Russians at Yerevan's Zvartnots airport
Chairman of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the Russian president Valeri Fadeyev has addressed Armenian ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan over cases of discrimination against Russians at Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport.
The report notes that the council received appeals from Russians who faced violations of their rights by the Armenian air carrier FlyOne and employees of Zvartnots International Airport, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
In the letter to Harutyunyan, it is emphasized that the council has concluded that these situations are not isolated cases. The HRC asked the ambassador to bring the situation to the attention of the Armenian authorities and to state the Russian side's position on the inadmissibility of such incidents.
