Russia clarifies ambassador's departure from Yerevan Ensures strong relations with Armenia
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin has addressed concerns regarding the departure of the Russian ambassador to Armenia, Sergei Kopyrkin, who was recalled to Moscow for consultations.
Galuzin emphasized that Kopyrkin's departure does not signify a downgrade in diplomatic relations between Russia and Armenia, Lenta.ru reports.
Galuzin clarified that summoning ambassadors for consultations is a routine practice and does not indicate a deterioration in bilateral ties. He reaffirmed the strong alliance and strategic partnership between Russia and Armenia, highlighting that differences of opinion between the countries are natural but do not undermine their relationship.
Galuzin assured that Kopyrkin will soon return to Yerevan, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining robust diplomatic cooperation between the two nations.
