Russia continues shelling civilian areas in Donetsk, causing casualties
Russian forces carried out 20 separate shelling incidents in Ukraine’s Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Regional Military Administration.
The attacks have caused both casualties and property damage across multiple towns, Filashkin wrote on Telegram, as quoted by Caliber.Az.
In the Shakhovskaya community of Pokrovskyi district, three houses were hit in Zolotyi Kolodets, while two more were damaged in Toretsk. One person was wounded in Nikolaivka, Kramatorsk district. In Sloviansk, a house and a car were damaged.
Kramatorsk experienced some of the heaviest impacts, with five people injured and damage reported to a multi-storey building, a shop, a non-residential building, and a vehicle. In Druzhkivka, three private homes and a farm building were damaged, while a house in Myasnikovka, Siverska community (Bakhmut district), also sustained damage.
Authorities reported that a total of 224 residents, including 31 children, were evacuated from areas near the front line.
