Russia deploys another echelon of T-72 tanks to Belarus
Russia has sent 13 more T-72 tanks to Belarus.
The echelon with tanks was sent on December 8 from the Bui railway station, Kostroma region of the Russian Federation. It arrived at the Zaslonovo railway station, Lepel district, Vitebsk region of Belarus on December 10.
As UNIAN reports with reference to the monitoring project "Belarusian Hayun", there is a training ground "Lepelsky" near the station Zaslonovo, where one of the possible mobilized units of Russian Armed Forces personnel has been stationed since October 2022.
“It can be assumed that the transfer of tanks there may mean the training of Russian tankers at this training ground,” observers write.
Another monitoring project “Live. The Community of Railway Workers of Belarus” confirms the transfer of a train of Russian tanks to Belarus. According to observers, the train arrived at Zaslonovo station on December 10 at 02:05. At 17:10 on the same day, unloading began.
