Russia develops doomsday drone in case of nuclear attack
Russia has unveiled a new doomsday first person view (FPV) drone designed to monitor radiation levels and ensure safety in the event of a nuclear attack.
CEO of Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developer Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CUS), Dmitry Kuzyakin announced the development, highlighting its role in preparing for extreme scenarios, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
The drone, intended for use in post-nuclear strike situations, is compact and can be easily transported alongside ground equipment. It is equipped with a poison sensor or dosimeter that alerts the operator when radiation levels exceed a set threshold.
Kuzyakin expressed optimism that the drone would never be needed, stating, "I am sure that common sense will prevail, and the world will prevent the use of nuclear weapons."
However, he emphasized the importance of being prepared for the worst-case scenarios.
