Russia launches massive strikes across Ukraine, leaving casualties, damage VIDEO
Russia carried out a large-scale wave of strikes overnight on 25 April targeting several regions of Ukraine, resulting in injuries and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, according to ASTRA.
In Bila Tserkva, in the Kyiv region, a fire broke out accompanied by heavy smoke. Residents were advised to keep windows closed and limit time spent outdoors.
In Kharkiv, strikes hit the Saltivskyi, Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts. Preliminary reports indicate that two people were injured.
In Kherson’s Korabelnyi district, two people were wounded following a drone attack.
The Sumy region came under attack involving guided aerial bombs (KABs), strike and FPV drones, as well as artillery and mortar fire. In the Shostka community, a 54-year-old woman was injured and residential and farm buildings were damaged. In the Buryn community, a 71-year-old woman was wounded in a drone strike, with several private homes damaged.
In the Mykolaiv region, a power transmission line was damaged, leaving six settlements without electricity. Falling debris from a drone also injured two women, one of whom sustained minor injuries while the other experienced acute stress reaction.
In the Cherkasy region, debris from a missile damaged a private house.
Separately, regional authorities reported that an attempt at a drone attack on an infrastructure facility in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region was intercepted.
