Russia pounds Kharkiv with overnight drone attack, one injured
One person was injured after Russia launched a mass drone attack on Ukraine’s Kharkiv region overnight, regional authorities said on April 29.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said Russian drones approached the city from several directions during the attack.
“A resident was injured by shattered glass and received medical assistance,” Syniehubov said in a statement.
In the Osnovianskyi district, the strike damaged the glazing of a garden centre at a hypermarket, as well as two buses and a passenger car, according to the official.
In the Slobidskyi district, trees caught fire after a drone hit an open area, while in the Nemyshlianskyi district, windows and roofs of 25 private homes were damaged.
Emergency services were working to deal with the aftermath of the attack, Syniehubov added.
