The Russian permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Gennadiy Gatilov, has rejected the existence of a "practical platform" for holding a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in light of the situation around Ukraine.
"There is no practical platform for holding this meeting," he stated in an interview with the Financial Times newspaper.
The diplomat noted the role of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, stressing that he is doing everything possible to promote dialogue. At the same time, Gatilov rejected suggestions about the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy.
