Russia says British reconnaissance aircraft violates its border

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the British "RC-135" reconnaissance aircraft violated the Russian border.

In a written statement from the ministry, it was announced that a target was detected by Russian defence systems over the Barents Sea, TRT Haber reports.

"It was determined that the target in question was the 'RC-135' electronic reconnaissance and warfare aircraft of the British Air Force . This aircraft violated the state border of the Russian Federation in the Svyatoy Nos nose area. " statements were made.

In the statement, it was reported that the British plane was forced to leave Russian soil. To fulfill this task the Russian "Mig-31BM" fighter jet was deployed.
