Russia strikes DTEK thermal power plants again, causing damage, injuries

Russian forces have once again struck the thermal power plants of Ukrainian energy company DTEK, damaging critical equipment in what marks the seventh major attack on its facilities since October.

According to DTEK, its power plants have been attacked more than 210 times since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The assaults on the country’s energy infrastructure have caused significant material losses and human casualties.

Official figures indicate that 59 energy workers have been injured, while four have been killed in the line of duty at the plants.
