Russia strikes Odesa again, injuring civilians, damaging infrastructure PHOTO
Russia has carried out another attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region, leaving civilians injured and causing damage to infrastructure, according to the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.
The SES said fires broke out in residential houses, a utility building and a garage as a result of the strikes.
Emergency crews extinguished the blazes shortly after they were reported.
A freight vehicle was also damaged in the attack. Two people were injured in residential areas affected by the fires.
Separately, a hospital’s admissions department was destroyed and set on fire, prompting the evacuation of patients and medical staff to another healthcare facility.
In a separate incident, the facade and windows of a multi-storey residential building were damaged, though no fire followed.
Debris from the strikes also ignited reeds within the Danube Biosphere Reserve.
According to the SES, 49 firefighters and nine pieces of equipment were deployed to deal with the последствия of the attack, alongside a unit of Ukraine’s National Guard involving four personnel and one vehicle.
