Russia tests new Black Kite‑15 cargo drone
Russia has begun testing a new cargo drone, the Black Kite‑15 (ChK‑15SVO), which is capable of carrying loads of up to 100 kilogrammes, according to the developer Dronax.
The company says the unmanned aircraft comes equipped with a universal hard‑mount system designed to transport and release large items.
The system is compatible with various military and non‑military cargo, including engineering equipment and supplies.
Dronax said the drone could be used to deliver ammunition, gear, medical supplies and other materials. It added that, in principle, the aircraft’s lifting capacity and transport system might allow it to support the evacuation of injured personnel, though this remains a technical possibility rather than an operational feature.
The trials are being conducted in conditions described as “as close as possible” to real‑world use, the developer noted.
