Russia threatens action over Baltic ship detentions

Russia’s Ambassador to Sweden, Sergey Belyaev, cautioned that Moscow would respond decisively should incidents involving the detention of Russian vessels in the Baltic recur.

Belyaev commented on the case involving the Russian ship Adler, which was detained last December, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“In the event of similar situations occurring again, the question of measures that will need to be taken to protect the legal rights and interests of Russian sailors, shipowners, and their clients in the Baltic straits will inevitably arise,” the ambassador emphasized.
