Russia unleashes over 900 strikes on Zaporizhzhia in daylong assault
Russian forces carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements across Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, regional authorities said on May 30, underscoring the continued intensity of attacks along the frontline.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Russian troops launched 21 air strikes on multiple communities in the region.
The attacks also included 639 drone strikes, most of them involving first-person-view (FPV) drones, targeting the city of Zaporizhzhia as well as the towns of Orikhiv, Huliaipole and Stepnohirsk, among other settlements.
In addition, Russian forces fired 251 artillery rounds at frontline areas, Fedorov said in a post on Telegram.
The regional administration received 96 reports of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings and vehicles as a result of the attacks.
