Russian artillery strike leaves two dead in Ukraine's Nikopol PHOTO

Russian forces launched an artillery strike on the city of Nikopol in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Region, resulting in the deaths of two women, local authorities reported.

According to the city administration, at least six additional people were injured in attacks carried out since the morning hours. One of the victims, a 65-year-old woman, is reported to be in extremely critical condition.

Separately, another resident of Nikopol was wounded during overnight shelling. The 44-year-old man sustained injuries but is expected to receive outpatient treatment.

Local officials continue to assess the damage and provide assistance to those affected by the attack.
