Russian attack on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region leaves three dead PHOTO

Three people have been killed and another injured following Russian shelling in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian emergency services say.

The dead include a 62-year-old man and two women aged 26 and 50. A 57-year-old man was reported injured, Caliber.Az reports via the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Officials said casualty figures may be updated.

Seven private homes were damaged in the attack, one of which was destroyed.

Emergency crews extinguished a fire that spread across a 100-square-metre residential building and put out a blaze involving a gas pipe. Rescue operations are continuing at the scene.
