Russian attacks on Ukraine kill three, injure 24
Russian forces launched attacks on several Ukrainian regions over the past 24 hours, killing three people and injuring 24 others, according to Ukrainian regional authorities.
The attacks targeted the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions, as well as the city of Chernihiv, with artillery strikes and drone attacks reported across the affected areas, Ukrinform reports.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, authorities recorded 935 strikes on 47 settlements over the past day. Nine people were injured, while residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Chernihiv came under a drone attack early Wednesday. One of the drones struck a residential building, killing a woman and a four-year-old child. A 14-year-old child was also injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian attacks hit the Nikopol, Pavlohrad, and Synelnykove districts. An agricultural enterprise, a market, residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged. Two women, aged 26 and 20, were injured.
The Kherson region was also heavily targeted, with 41 settlements coming under fire. One person was killed, and 12 others were injured. Residential buildings, shops, a mobile communications tower, a bus, and private vehicles were damaged.
