Russian blogger robbed at knifepoint in Paris apartment

Russian blogger Igor Sinyak has reported a violent robbery at his apartment in Paris, describing the incident in a post on his Telegram channel.

According to Sinyak, two armed men broke into his home during the night. He stated that the intruders forced the door open within seconds and rushed into the apartment. The blogger noted that the assailants were dark-skinned.

“One of them held a knife to my throat while the other removed everything from the apartment,” Sinyak said.

He believes the crime was carried out based on prior information, claiming that the attackers knew exactly where his expensive handbags and jewelry were stored. All valuables and precious items were stolen. Sinyak said he contacted the police immediately after the incident.

Igor Sinyak is a controversial beauty blogger who rose to prominence through videos focused on gossip within the blogging community, as well as through his VKontakte public page titled VPSH. The page has repeatedly faced criticism for alleged harassment of other bloggers and for spreading false and provocative information about well-known internet personalities.

In October 2023, Sinyak was fined 200,000 rubles in Russia on charges related to the promotion of LGBT content.
