Russian businessman dies in fall while taking selfie on Thailand’s Koh Samui PHOTO

A 35-year-old Russian businessman has died on the Thai island of Koh Samui after falling from a cliff while attempting to take a dramatic selfie.

The incident occurred at the “Na Phra Lan” viewpoint, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

The man, identified as Ilyar B., was found by fellow tourists visiting the site. Rescue teams confirmed his death at the scene.

According to authorities, the man was lying face-up with serious head and neck injuries. Nearby, a bag containing his passports and hotel key was discovered, and a broken branch was found in his hand.

Police have found no evidence of foul play. Investigators believe he fell while trying to descend towards the beach.
