Russian drone, artillery assault injures dozens in Kherson region
Twenty-one people have been injured over the past 24 hours in Ukraine’s Kherson region following a series of Russian drone, air and artillery strikes, regional authorities said.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said on Telegram that “21 people were injured as a result of a Russian attack”.
According to the administration, multiple settlements — including the city of Kherson and surrounding communities — came under sustained bombardment.
Civilian infrastructure was hit during the attacks, with seven apartment blocks and 29 private homes damaged. A gas pipeline, a freight truck and several passenger vehicles were also reported damaged.
Authorities said residential neighbourhoods and social infrastructure facilities were among the targets.
Separately, 16 residents were evacuated over the past day from recently liberated communities in the region, the administration added.
