Russian drone, missile strikes hit multiple Ukrainian regions overnight PHOTO
In the early hours of February 26, Russian forces launched a series of drone and missile attacks across several regions of Ukraine, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, drone strikes injured nine people, targeting residential buildings and shopping centres.
Attacks were also reported in Kyiv, affecting the Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Slobidskyi, and Saltivskyi districts, as well as the village of Rai-Olenevka in Kharkiv Raion. In total, 14 people were reported injured, including one child.
The strikes caused multiple fires, including structural fires in two private homes in the Saltivskyi district, and a vehicle and garage fire in the Slobidskyi district. Both multi-storey and private residences sustained damage.
In the Kyiv capital, damage and fires were recorded across several districts:

Holosiivskyi district – garages caught fire.

Pecherskyi district – fire in a two-storey residential building on private property.

Darnytskyi district – windows and doors of a first-floor flat in a nine-storey building were damaged by blast waves.
All fires have since been extinguished. Authorities continue to verify the number of casualties.
