Russian drone strike destroys railway station in Ukraine's Sumy region PHOTO

Russian drone strikes overnight destroyed the railway station building in the city of Shostka, located in Ukraine's Sumy region, and caused significant damage to railway infrastructure, according to Ukrainian officials.

The information was provided by Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba, in a post on Facebook.

Kuleba said that direct hits from several dozen kamikaze drones destroyed the station building and damaged infrastructure at the railway station.

No railway employees or passengers were injured in the attack, as those present had taken shelter during the strike. Railway workers are currently carrying out recovery and repair operations at the site.

Ukrainian authorities also reported that the country's air defense forces intercepted or suppressed part of a broader overnight attack involving missiles and hundreds of drones launched against targets across Ukraine.
