Russian drone strike hits Kharkiv’s Saltivka district Maternity hospital damaged
In the early hours of July 11, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles launched a strike on the Saltivka district of Kharkiv, Ukraine, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure, including a maternity hospital.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional administration, confirmed the attack, reporting that explosions impacted a three-story residential building and its adjacent courtyard. Another nearby building sustained damage, resulting in a fire.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the explosions also affected a maternity hospital. Authorities have begun evacuating the medical facility as a precautionary measure to safeguard patients and staff.
Syniehubov reported that nine individuals were affected by the strike. While one person sustained physical injuries, the remaining eight suffered acute stress reactions related to the attack.
