Russian drone strike on Ukraine's Chuhuiv leaves one dead, one injured
Russian forces carried out a drone strike on the city of Chuhuiv on the morning of April 28, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured, according to preliminary information from regional authorities.
The attack was reported by Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, who said emergency services were deployed to the scene as officials worked to establish the full circumstances of the strike.
Syniehubov said a 74-year-old man was among the victims and is currently in serious condition in the hospital, where he is receiving all necessary medical assistance.
In addition to the casualties, a civilian vehicle was damaged in the strike.
“As a result of the Russian UAV strike, a passenger car was damaged. All relevant services continue to work at the scene,” Syniehubov said.
Authorities continue to assess the aftermath of the attack as response teams remain on site.
