Russian drone strikes ignite massive fire in Odesa warehouses PHOTO
During the night of October 13, Russian forces once again launched drone strikes targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odesa region, resulting in one reported casualty.
According to Ukrainian media, citing the Odesa Regional State Administration, despite the active response of Ukrainian air defence units, several drones managed to reach their targets, causing extensive destruction.
The administration reported that the strikes triggered a large-scale fire covering more than 5,000 square meters. The blaze consumed several warehouses storing textiles, clothing, and packaging materials, while one vehicle was also destroyed.
A total of 16 pieces of equipment and 56 rescuers from the State Emergency Service, along with units from the National Guard and volunteer firefighters, were mobilised to contain the fire and manage the aftermath.
Emergency crews continue working at the site, responding to the damage caused by yet another Russian attack on the Odesa region.
