Russian drones strike SOCAR petrol station in Ukraine PHOTOS
A SOCAR petrol station in Ukraine has come under attack by Russian Armed Forces drones.
According to AZERTAC, on the evening of July 5, a SOCAR filling station in the Mykolaiv region was targeted. The strike triggered an explosion on the station's premises.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine confirmed the incident, stating that three Shahed attack drones struck the filling station located at 2A Odeska Street, Nechaiane village, Mykolaiv region. The attack damaged the station's administrative building.
The company stressed that more serious consequences were avoided thanks to advance safety measures, strict adherence to air raid procedures, and the availability of a bomb shelter. All employees were in the shelter during the attack, and no injuries were reported.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine also noted that in recent days, Russian forces have carried out a series of large-scale aerial attacks on petrol stations across various regions of Ukraine.
It is worth recalling that last summer, two SOCAR Energy Ukraine filling stations in the village of Berezyna, Zhytomyr region, sustained severe damage following a series of explosions.
In addition, on the night of August 8, Russian forces attacked a SOCAR oil depot in Ukraine's Odesa region with Shahed drones. The strike sparked a fire and left four people seriously injured.
