Russian Embassy in US rules out external pressure as reason for extending grain deal

The Russian Embassy in the United States has stated said that Moscow does not agree that the decision to extend the grain deal was made by Russia because of external pressure.

“We fundamentally disagree with the thesis that this decision was allegedly made under external pressure. Even under the conditions of illegitimate sanctions imposed on our country, Russia remains a reliable supplier of agricultural goods to world markets,” TASS quotes an embassy source as saying.

The diplomatic mission noted that Russia keeps counting on the strict implementation of the Istanbul deals by all participants, including in terms of removing restrictions for Rosagroexport.
