Two employees of the Russian Embassy in Iran have been safely evacuated through Azerbaijan amid ongoing regional tensions.

The evacuation was carried out via the Astara customs checkpoint, facilitating the secure departure of the diplomatic staff from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The Russian embassy personnel expressed their gratitude for the support and assistance received during the operation, highlighting the coordinated efforts that ensured their safe transit.
