Russian envoy: Germany crosses "red line" by supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine
Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechayev has said that the German authorities had crossed a "red line" by supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine.
"This is a path to nowhere," which prolongs the military conflict and leads to an increase in the death toll, Nechayev said in an interview with Izvestia on September 11.
"The very fact of supplying the Ukrainian regime with German-made lethal weapons, which are used not only against Russian military personnel but also against the civilian population of Donbas, is a 'red line' that the German authorities must not have crossed, including taking into account the moral and historical responsibility of Germany before our people for the crimes of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War," Nechayev noted.
Germany was sending Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers, reconnaissance drones, armoured personnel carriers, and MARS multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine.
