Russian forces attack Konotop in Ukraine’s Sumy Region

Russian forces have attacked Konotop in Ukraine’s Sumy Region with strike drones, injuring two people, according to the city’s mayor.

Two women reportedly sustained injuries in the attack, based on preliminary information.

Residential buildings, a kindergarten, a school, shops and medical facilities were damaged in the city, Mayor Artem Semenikhin said.

Part of Konotop was also left without electricity after power lines were severed. A gas pipeline was damaged, while railway infrastructure was also hit, according to the mayor.
