Russian forces shoot down several Ukrainian drones over four regions
Russian air defence forces shot down eight Ukrainian drones across various regions of Russia over the night of April 30 to May 1.
“Eight Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed,” Caliber.Az quotes the Russian Ministry of Defence as saying in a post on its Telegram channel.
Two drones were shot down over each of the following regions: Kursk, Voronezh, Vladimir, and Belgorod, the Ministry added.
To recall, in a previous such incident, precisely on April 30, 2025, Ukraine launched a long-range drone strike on the Murom Instrument-Making Plant in Russia's Vladimir region, approximately 180 miles from Moscow. The facility, which manufactures ignition systems for Russian military weapons, was set ablaze, damaging two buildings.
