Russian forces strike Ukraine's Kharkiv, killing one, injuring several PHOTO
The Russian army carried out strikes over the past 24 hours on Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the region, resulting in one death and nine injuries, local authorities stated.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported the figures in a post on Telegram.
“In the city of Merefa, a 41-year-old woman was killed. Women aged 41, 40, 29, and 23, as well as men aged 26 and 29, were injured; in the city of Lyubotyn, men aged 51, 46, and 66 were injured,” he said.
He added that in the village of Blyzniuky, a 59-year-old man was killed as a result of an explosion of an unknown device, while a 56-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction.
According to Syniehubov, Russian forces used a range of weapons in the attacks on Kharkiv region, including “2 MLRS; 10 Geran-2 UAVs; 1 Lancet UAV; 8 Molniya UAVs; 1 FPV drone; and 38 UAVs (type being identified).”
He also noted that civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed as a result of the strikes.
