Russian Lancet drone strike kills two police officers in Kharkiv PHOTO
A Russian Lancet-type drone attacked the “White Angels” evacuation unit in Kharkiv region, killing two police officers and wounding another, the National Police of Ukraine reported.
According to authorities, the special forces of the “White Angels” unit had set out to evacuate civilians when their armored vehicle was struck near the village of Seredniy Burluk. “As a result of the strike, two police officers received fatal injuries and died on the spot,” the report said.
The deceased officers, Yuliya Keleberda, 23, and Yevhen Kalgan, 39, had been with the “White Angels” since its inception. They had repeatedly risked their lives to evacuate civilians from dangerous areas, saving numerous families, children, elderly people, and those with disabilities.

“This evacuation was their last,” the police statement noted. Yuliya Keleberda is survived by her parents. Yevhen Kalgan leaves behind his wife, mother, 16-year-old son, and 7-year-old daughter.
The leadership and personnel of the Kharkiv Oblast police expressed their “deep and sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased,” honoring the officers’ courage and dedication.
