Russian leader to meet with Pakistani acting PM in Beijing
Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said that President Vladimir Putin will meet with Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar as part of the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing.
“As of October 17, the final meeting will be held with the Pakistani official. This has been agreed upon this morning. Everything will be carried out according to plan,” Peskov told reporters, according to Kommersant.
The Belt and Road Forum will be held on October 17–18. Putin, who arrived in Beijing on October 17, is also scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith.
The Russian-Chinese negotiations are planned to be held on the second day of the forum, October 18. This will be the second meeting between the Russian and Chinese leaders this year. Last time negotiations between Putin and Xi were held on March 20.
