Russian military carries out massive 728-strike barrage on Zaporizhzhia

Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region came under heavy fire once again on January 9, with a 55-year-old woman injured during a Russian strike.

Regional authorities reported that the Russian military launched a total of 728 attacks across 24 settlements over the past day.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Regional Military Administration, stated that Russian forces carried out 12 airstrikes against several communities. He added that the region was also hit by 395 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, predominantly FPV drones, along with 317 artillery strikes. Additionally, four attacks from multiple launch rocket systems were recorded.

Local authorities received 37 reports of damage to residential properties and vehicles.
