Russian minister orders to add firepower to Black Sea Fleet
While inspecting troops of the Southern Military District, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered to install additional firepower on Black Sea Fleet war ships to strike enemy drones.
"The Russian defence minister ordered additional firepower, including large-caliber machine guns, to hit enemy drones," the Russian Defence Ministry said, according to TASS.
The Russian defence chief also gave orders to conduct training, day and night, for the personnel of the Black Sea Fleet to repel air raids and attacks using unmanned motor boats. Shoigu urged efforts to improve the survivability of Black Sea vessels.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022 that Russia had commenced a special military operation in Ukraine for the purpose of Ukraine’s denasification and demilitarisation.
