White House tightens security ahead of historic US-Azerbaijan-Armenia summit
Only a few hours remain before the meeting of the Presidents of the United States, Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia in Washington.
According to the Washington bureau of Report, security measures have been tightened around the White House.
U.S. President Donald Trump will first hold a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Oval Office. Following the negotiations, the signing of a bilateral document is planned.
Then Trump will receive Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the Oval Office. The signing of a corresponding document is also expected after this meeting.
After the bilateral talks, a trilateral signing ceremony will take place with the participation of Trump, Aliyev, and Pashinyan.
According to the State Department schedule, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will participate both in the trilateral meeting and in the signing ceremony.
At the conclusion of the Oval Office meeting, a press conference for journalists is scheduled.
