Russian nationals avoiding mobilisation caught on border with Kazakhstan

On September 25, three Russians were detained in Kazakhstan, who illegally tried to break through the border.

According to the detainees, they wanted to avoid mobilisation in Russia, the Kazakh border service said in a statement, Gazeta.Ru reports.

“Further interrogation measures are being carried out with regard to the detainees, as a result of which these persons will be handed over to the Russian side,” the statement says.

Kazakhstan has decided not to issue a permanent residence permit to Russian citizens who want to leave Russia after the announcement of partial mobilisation.
